Word On The Street - Project Update 9.23.20

W. BURDICK STREET CLOSURE

SCHEDULED FOR THIS SATURDAY

The sanitary sewer crew is ahead of schedule, and they will be closing the W. Burdick St. intersection for Saturday and Sunday (9/26 & 27).

North of Burdick, pavement milling and removal is wrapping up and the sanitary sewer work will continue past Burdick into next week.

On the east side of the project there are only a few loose ends to tie up - some decorative brickwork and a couple of driveways still need to be reinstalled. The new light poles are in, and they will be functional by the end of this week. You will notice that not all the lights will be on though, the older poles still need to be retrofitted. They will begin taking down the light poles on the west side as soon as the new lights are functioning.

Any questions you have about the project can be submitted here.

As always, remember to please drive safely, abide traffic rules, keep workers safe, follow posted detour routes and refrain from using neighborhood side streets. Thank you for your continued patience. We are all in this together. #OxfordStrong
